Welcome to Grimstorpet, a paradise quite out of the ordinary.

The garden is situated where the region of Småland borders the forested tracts of Västergötland, and the farm dates back to 1750. The family who live here now started to create the garden in 2004 and new sections are being added all the time. Its style is English cottage garden with trees, bushes, hedges and perennials complementing each other. The glint of water, in features both manmade and natural, is everywhere. You’ll also find different kinds of greenhouses and an orangery which can be enjoyed all year round. We grow a lot of traditional vegetable varieties that are not F1 hybrids. There’s a grill area by the pond and Bondens Kokehus, which is an outdoor kitchen with a woodfired oven for making bread and pizzas.

If you are tempted by the beauty of the place and want to stay a night or two, the Kålgårdsstugan cottage is available. It’s situated in the middle of the meadow next to a babbling brook and can be booked via Airbnb or directly with the hosts. There are lots of different animals on the farm, everything from horses to chickens and during summer, pigs. Sales of plants, fruit and vegetables take place in season. Tours of the garden can be arranged. 

Simple meals can be provided if booked. You can eat your own picnic in the areas provided. There is parking for cars and one coach. Visits are booked in advance.
