Cultural history, cut flowers and a paradise for pollinators
The garden is under construction and you’ll find a lot of different plants here, such as perennials, trees, bushes and bulbs. Right now there are around 20 different peonies, and tulip, handkerchief and snowdrop trees as well as around ten different magnolias. In spring there are lots of flowering bulbs. You’ll also find a cut flower bed with around sixty different dahlias and summer flowers. Expect to see both finished and ongoing projects in this thriving garden, where the focus is on creating a long and varied flowering time to benefit our pollinators and garden friends. There is a little orchard where the grass is left uncut, and an bulb meadow for our insects. It’s a magically beautiful place when the apple trees are in bloom and the daffodils flower below.
In the little garden centre you’ll find perennials, bushes, trees, seasonal plants, our home grown plants like tomatoes and cucumber, garden accessories and light refreshments. Guided tours are offered in Swedish and English. There are places to eat your own picnic. Just around the corner is the Tidan river and its anabranches, which is a protected biosphere area and a lovely place to walk. The gravelled area by the entrance can be a bit tricky for rullators, but otherwise there’s a lawn and large spaces that are easy to get around. There is parking, but no guest toilet. Dogs are welcome on a short lead. Parking for cars and coaches. See our website and social media for nursery opening times (other than the open garden dates).
