The past, the present and creativity – all in harmony with the environment

The garden started to take form back in the early 1940s, and a stately seven armed pine tree remains from that time, as well as a rhododendron grove, now arborized.  These features of course influenced the design of the present garden. Several rooms have been created, where plants and materials reinforce form. Everything has been done with eco-awareness and sustainability in mind. Edibility is an important ingredient in the garden design. A fun detail is the golf green, hidden behind swaying grasses, blackberry bushes and black elder. The lighting in the garden makes it a magical and inviting place.

There is parking for cars, and if you are coming by bus, get off at Kobbavik. There are plenty of spots to eat your own picnic. The garden is open by arrangement.
