A romantic English park and nearest the manor, French Baroque and Italian Neo-Renaissance
This stately home was built in Italian Neo-Renaissance style. A lot of work has been put in over the years to make the park into the verdant oasis it is today, and visiting the house and gardens together makes for the perfect day out. There’s plenty of space to enjoy the lovely flower beds, bushes and trees, and pretty bridges crossing the rivers and ponds. Spring is a great time to go birdwatching by the lake and in summer many families like to visit both the large adventure playground and the animals on the farm. You can also experience what a Swedish rain forest is like in the Kongo swamp forest area. Jumping into the plentiful leaf piles covering the grass is a popular autumn activity. Plan to spend several hours here, you’ll find plenty to do. Maybe you’d like to have a go at frisbee-golf? You can sit and enjoy your own refreshments anywhere in the park, or visit the café if you fancy something tasty.
Accessibility in the park is good on the whole. Paths are asphalted or gravelled making it easy for both wheelchairs and buggies to get around. There’s a toilet, and dogs on leads are welcome. There is plenty of parking for both cars and buses. An Info-point in Nolhaga Manor provides tourist information and brochures, open weekdays 11.00-16.00.
