Sammels Farm

Welcome to a garden that has grown out of what was originally a potato field and winter pasture for sheep.  Imaginative and personal  design ideas have been given free rein here, over a more traditional garden style. A tranquil oasis just 25 minutes from Gothenburg.

A farm in the peaceful countryside

The Samuelsson family have lived and worked here for five generations, and although the surroundings seem calm plenty of activity goes on, like the forestry and farming that has always been the heart of the enterprise. It’s complemented now, however, by a farm cafe and shop, furniture making, and of course a garden. In the experimental garden you’ll find blossoming trees, scented and exotic plants, rock garden plants, a herb plot and above all – edible plants. The large range of edible plants and apple trees are available for sale. In the farm shop there’s also a range of fruit drinks, preserves, beeswax products and jams, amongst other things. We have around ten beehives and the farm’s own honey is popular with visitors. You’ll find cuddly cats in the garden, and butterflies and pollinating insects also love it here. You’re welcome to wander round the orchard and the garden, and if you’re curious about what’s grown in the greenhouses just have a look inside.  Broad leaved deciduous trees have been nurtured in the cultural landscapes around the farm.

There’s a toilet for guests and supervised dogs on leads are welcome. Guided tours can be booked in advance. It’s easiest to get here by car, and there’s plenty of parking for both cars and coaches.
