Green history and Japanese beauty

For over a century this park has been a place for meetings, cultural events and verdant beauty. Now it has become Trollhättan’s town park, a green oasis with blossoming flower beds, old trees and a babbling brook.

You’ll find a newly opened Japanese inspired garden here, where azaleas, cherry trees and bamboo frame a paved pond. From the little bridge over the stream you can gaze over the mirrored surface of the water and listen to the babbling noise, before enjoying a fika in the recently renovated cafe or perhaps a round of adventure golf. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic into the park.

Culture lovers will appreciate the theatre, dance floor and lottery stall which hark back to the park’s history as an amusement park. In summer the Pump House opens for art exhibitions. For children there’s a magical fairy tale tree and the Tivoli playground.

The park is worth a visit in every season, and is open for visitors 24/7.

The paths in the park are gravelled and accessible for wheelchairs and rollators. Dogs on leads are welcome. There are public toilets.

You can get here by car or bus. During summer Trollhättan town council run a summer train that stops outside the park.
