A place for unique experiences

Magical herbs combine with apple varieties from Värmland in this garden, established in the 1760s. The outside of the building is almost austere, while the interior is a splendid example of rococo style. The house and its paintings are both stunningly beautiful and fantastically well preserved. In the famous outside privy there are seats for five adults and two children, and the walls are decorated with burlesque illustrations unlike anything else in the country. The apple orchard’s unique feature is that only varieties from Värmland are cultivated, around 20 kinds right now. Plants are grown organically.

Art exhibitions are arranged each summer, as well as a programme of other events to do with art, music, cultural history or gardening. In addition to the café you can also bring your own picnic. Dogs on leads are welcome. There is a toilet, and plenty of parking for cars and coaches.
