A garden as big as a park

This large 20 000 m² garden lies right next to the river Viskan. Woods, lawns and flower beds co-exist happily in the space. In the past this was an orchard but the focus now is on flowering borders. The style is Cottage Garden with Arts and Crafts influences. Do wander round and enjoy the hydrangeas, hardy geraniums and masses of summer flowers. It’s a proper summer garden! If you come during late summer you’ll be met by around 70 varieties of flowering dahlias. The adjoining house was built in the late 1920s by an artist with a far reaching vision. The garden was also laid during that period but is under constant development. It’s a lovely place to be inspired by.

There is limited parking so booking is essential before your visit. Guided tours are offered in Swedish and English. The garden is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs but in certain areas the ground is a little uneven. Dogs on leads are welcome. There is a toilet for visitors.
