Welcome to a garden with a manifesto offering a distinctive message: ‘A different kind of garden’ tries to challenge and question traditional garden models in both actions and words.


A garden for the senses in Marstrand

Sit under the pergola, on the kissing bench round the beech tree, or on the grass. Enjoy the trickle of the water in the waterfall and the fountain. Listen to the twittering of the birds. It feels good to be here.


Alaska Garden

Welcome to the magical island of Alaska with its unique stone garden. You can swim in the salty turquoise waters here and be spellbound by this very special place.


Alphems Arboretum

If you are interested in plants and/or are looking for a relaxing visit to a beautiful, peaceful setting, then this is the place for you. At Alphems Arboretum every season has its charm, and there’s always some greenery or colour to enjoy.


Baldersnäs Manor

Sitting prettily on a peninsula is Dalsland’s gem, Baldersnäs. The English park, the finest of its kind at the time, was originally created around the beginning of the 19th century.


Bergfeltska garden

Restored visitor garden with roots as far back as the 1600s – part of the listed Västra Gatan street. Parkland trees, perennials and rockeries leading up towards the lookout point, with a view of the Göta River.


Björnhyltans Garden

Open garden with greenhouse, kitchen garden, herb garden, farm shop and heritage trail. Experience organic gardening in practice here. We offer courses and unique experiences and can arrange guided garden tours. Worth noting – GPS sometimes shows the forest road which is not passable.


EKA Environmental Sanctuary

This place tells an amazing story about an area that was once polluted but has been brought back to life after being cleaned up. Our vision is that the environment here should be preserved for at least 100 years!


Ekebo farm

Apple trees planted in the 1800s and a hundred year old pear tree – come to a place where you can feel the history.

Eriksgård in Tvååker

Our focus is on growing perennials that suit our Swedish climate. Mainly wholesale trade but also other sales methods. Lovely private garden that can be shown by arrangement.


Furets Nursery

Garden trails in two gardens; the old nursery garden and the owner’s private garden. Unique and personal. An unusual selection of bushes, trees and perennials.



The society is made up of devoted garden enthusiasts/growers with extensive knowledge. There’s a rich variety of gardens, regarding both type and size.

Aspebohl Garden

Inviting pond, perennial borders and beautiful summer flowers. Greenhouse with cucumber, tomatoes, and grapes. Open garden 18/7 12.00-18.00. Other times by arrangement.

Åstols Park

Östra Dammen, 471 44 Åstol
Lovely green space by the sea which is part of the island of Åstol's cultural heritage. The park is divided into three areas, one for just being, one for children and one for activities. The park is open all year round.

Cramers Blommor

Annebergsvägen 2, 512 90 Hillared
One of Sweden’s largest garden centres with plants, flowers and accessories for home and garden. A large selection of summer flowers. April-June open most days 9am-7pm. Other months open most days 9am-6pm.

Fristorps gård

Fristorp 210, 461 93 Västra Tunhem
We cultivate and make produce out of fruit and berries, which we sell in season. Open July/August, Thurs, Fri, Sun 11am-5pm. At other times ring to visit.

Gerbianska Garden

Vargaslätten 601, 313 97 Simlångsdalen
The garden is run by Dutch gardener Gerben Tjeerdsma who worked at the Gothenburg Botanical Garden for 17 years. The nursery is located next to the Sigfrid Ericsson Museum in an enclosed and separate area. You’ll find lots of bulbs, both classic and unusual, as well as perennials and dwarf conifers in the specialised nursery. See the website for opening times.

Guldsmedsgårdens Nursery

Hov Guldsmedsgården 1, 524 95 Ljung
Specialised nursery with a passion for peonies grown for Nordic climates, hundreds of varieties. Our own organic manure for sale. Groups welcome see website.

Kolms Garden

Lilla Komperöd 220a, 444 94 Ucklum
A sizable garden with extensive borders filled with trees, bushes and perennials. We have around 300 rhododendron bushes! Part of the garden is wild, with outdoor seating and a chicken shed. Open on the last Sunday in every month from May-Aug.

Lilla hälsoträdgården

Berg Anneberg 708, 311 96 Heberg
Wellbeing garden and small scale flower nursery run in line with the slow flower movement. We create bouquets with the flowers and run flourishing workshops. Using the garden for recuperation and inspiration we offer Green Rehab. This young garden was designed around nature’s health enhancing attributes. There’s a sensory garden, two greenhouses, a pergola, kitchen garden and flower beds, framed by stately beech trees and extensive fields. Open by arrangement.

Ove’s Garden

Solhemsgatan 12, 521 30 Falköping
Welcome to a beekeeper’s garden, where you can admire the lovely natural surroundings full of pollen and nectar rich plants in particular. The bees’ presence is felt clearly, as both berry bushes and fruit trees are very productive. It’s beautifully verdant here, and you’ll find many wild and cultivated plants. Råda Säteri Park & Garden

Säteriallén 5, 435 32 Mölnlycke
This manor house by Lake Råda dates from the 1300s. The grounds are planted with both garden favourites and unusual plants. Lovely paths around the lake. The gardens are open all year round.

Rångedala Nursery

Two well stocked garden centres with house and garden plants, and all other gardening accessories. Large home décor department. Make your garden dreams into reality here. Open weekdays 10am-6pm, weekends 10am-3pm.

The museum garden in Bräcke

Bräckeliden 103, 471 72 Hjälteby
The original aromatic garden was laid in 1985 and is now a herb garden, growing a range of old fashioned herb varieties. At the heritage centre there’s a traditional ‘dubbelhus’ (double width house) containing a museum, as well as a small cottage, a longhouse, smithy, school, store and barn, with a large assembly room and café. Open for tours Sundays in July and August 3pm-6pm. During May-September groups can book tours via tel.

Villa Solfrid & Elin’s Garden 

Sunna 101, 471 90, Kyrkesund, Tjörn
Villa Solfrid’s dormant Sleeping Beauty garden dates back to 1916, and was established by the gold prospector’s daughter Miss Elin Sundberg. The journey to bring this hibernating garden back to life has just started, and the hope is to be able to restore it to its blossoming former glory. You’re welcome to wander in the garden on Saturdays and Sundays in July, and Villa Solfrid can be visited with a guide on those days. Garden cafe every Saturday in July. Ceramics exhibition and exciting talks.

Wendelsberg Park

Wendelsberg, 435 35 Mölnlycke
Park dating back to the 1860s in English romantic landscape style, with exotic trees and ponds. The castle in the park was completed in 1883. The park forms an important nature, culture and recreation area, with walking trails, a children’s nature trail and nature play area. During 2021-2022 the recreation area will be made more accessible with laid paths, disc golf course, barbecue areas, more park benches, an outdoor gym and obstacle course.
