A rural market garden for lily, peony and dahlia lovers

Just outside Skövde you’ll find an earthly oasis, a lovingly restored farm surrounded by fields and meadows. A garden is being created, with a beautiful mixture of generously sized perennial borders, paths and garden rooms with different forms and characters. 

There are over 200 kinds of daylilies, around 40 peonies, echinaceas and other perennials. Vegetables are grown for the farm’s own use and anything left over is available to buy. In the little cut flower garden there are dahlias and many other flowers. The garden centre on the farm reflects the owner’s great interest in plants and offers a wide selection of perennials, trees, bushes, peonies, clematis and summer flowers. In the barn there’s a shop selling a lovely assortment of garden and interior decor. 
 
There’s plenty of room to eat your own picnic. During the summer season coffees and ice creams are sold. There’s a toilet for visitors and dogs on leads are welcome. Parking is right beside the garden. Guided tours are offered in Swedish and English. Paths and other areas are accessible for rollators but some parts can be a little trickier for wheelchair users because of the gravel surface.
