The perfect destination for the whole family

The park, which celebrated it’s 10th anniversary in 2020, is a fascinating place to visit. Due to the particular considerations here a range of safety measures have had to be taken, compared to a traditional park. Stone and water are predominant themes, and a lot of inspiration has come from Japan. The slope is man made and water is pumped up from the adjacent lake. The water garden has been built in locks, with several longer ‘viewing chambers’. The idea is that people should walk the longer path and get some nice insights into what garden art can be. Inscriptions on the stones convey different kinds of messages to the future. There’s an exciting stone maze for anyone full of beans. South of EKA Environmental Sanctuary there’s a butterfly sanctuary and at the northern end of the EKA bridge you’ll find the lock park, by Bengtsfors lock station, which is part of the Dalsland Canal. Anyone with an enquiring mind will appreciate the boards around the park with information about this unique place and the work that has been carried out here.

Dogs on leads are welcome and there is plenty of parking. There are barbecue areas and you can enjoy your own picnic in several places around the park.
