BEE EXHIBITION

Open gardens 30 June 13.00 -15.00

Welcome to the first of our summer tours of the castle gardens with our head gardener. This seasonal premiere is all about pollinators, and Tjolöholm’s head gardener will show visitors around the castle gardens focusing in particular on bees, bumble bees and other insects. During the day there’ll also be the chance to see how Tjolöholm’s grounds are cultivated and nurtured to encourage that all important pollination. Don’t miss the opportunity as well to taste different types of honey and honey products.

The day has been organised in collaboration with the Swedish Society of Public Parks and Gardens (SSPPG), Svenska Bin (Swedish Bees) and Trädgårdsresan.

All proceeds go in full to the Bee Fund.  Click here to buy a ticket.

RUN FOR BEES!

Guided run 29 July 11am.

Our gardener Andreas will take you on a jogging tour up round the Stuteribergen hills and tell you all about bee friendly plants. On the way back you’ll stop in the village to look at the beehives and get to taste the honey, learn a bit about bees and have a peep at Hemtrefnaden’s kitchen garden. You’ll also find out how to maintain a meadow, and why they are important for biodiversity.

The day has been organised in collaboration with the Swedish Society of Public Parks and Gardens (SSPPG), Svenska Bin (Swedish Bees) and Trädgårdsresan.

All proceeds go in full to the Bee Fund.  Click here to buy a ticket.
