Welcome to a park that has an unexpected connection to Snow White!

The garden was created over 50 years, starting in 1903, by Frans Johan Gegerfeldt who worked as a postman in the surrounding countryside. Visitors can wander around the 300 different kinds of trees and bushes in the garden while admiring Herr Gegerfeldt’s extensive landscaping in stone.  The first things he planted were a pair of American spruce trees outside the little cottage. He probably couldn’t have foreseen then and there that the garden would eventually cover an area of three acres and contain rare bushes and trees from all over the world. And what exactly has Snow White got to do with this beautiful place, you might be wondering. Well, it turns out that Gegerfeldt’s cottage was the inspiration for the dwarves’ home in the Disney cartoon about Snow White. Come and see it with your own eyes.

During summer entertainment is arranged and the cafe is open. See the website for an up to date programme. Dogs on leads are welcome. There is a toilet for visitors. The garden has plenty of room for guests to eat their own picnic. The park is always open but if you want a guided tour that can be booked by phone. There is parking for both cars and coaches, and visitors wanting to stay overnight in their campervan can also do so in the car park. Entry to the park is 30 SEK and can be paid either by Swish or cash in the box at the entrance.
